In a Facebook Live video, Shannon tearfully shared, “The last 21 years have been filled with pain, confusion, frustration, shame, and self-harm that are a direct result of Nick Carter raping me. Even though I’m autistic and live with cerebral palsy, I believe that nothing has affected me more than what Nick Carter did and said to me.” During this live video, she was accompanied by her attorney.
According to court documents, Shannon was invited to Nick’s tour bus after a concert in Tacoma, Washington, while waiting in an autograph line. The documents state that Nick asked Shannon if she wanted a drink. She asked for apple juice, but Nick allegedly offered her a “red-colored drink” he called “VIP juice,” which tasted wrong. Shannon now believes it was a mix of alcohol and cranberry juice.
Nick then allegedly took her to the bus bathroom and ordered her to perform oral sex on him. Despite her crying, he continued the assault. He then took her to a bed on the bus and continued the assault. After the incident, Nick allegedly threatened her, saying no one would believe her and called her a “r******d little bitch.” The lawsuit claims Shannon, a virgin at the time, contracted HPV from the incident and is seeking monetary damages.
